I've been here twice and it was great each time. The brisket potato is fantastic. It's a great place if you have a short lunch

The service was great, it was my first time there after my cousin recommended it. The ambiance perfectly captured Texas. The food chefs kiss I tied the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, pork ribs, baked patato, mac and cheese, sweet potato's, everything was delicious!! Can't wait to go again 2/14/25

Food was great, service a little slow but the taste of the food made up for the wait.

This BBQ joint is a GEM! We make it a point to come here when we head downtown for any event! We try different things so we can explore the options and are never let down! Especially when we ask the nice people at the counter for recommendations. Inside they have cute western artifacts that literally look rustic and it captures the ambiance a lot of these modern style bbq joints just can't! We took my mom before and now she always wants it. It's worth the drive coming from far NW side to here.

Had a last minute large party, and they were accommodating and professional. I had brisket (burnt ends), ribs, spicy green beans and the sweet potato casserole everything was delicious, top tier bbq in a mom and pop vibe. But that sweet potato casserole, I'm definitely coming back next week to get some more! They definitely should offer catering for that during the holiday season. I wish i had taken a picture but like an amateur i dived in immediately as i got my tray.

This was such a good barbecue. Good creamed corn, Mac and cheese, and most of all the ribs. They have good sauces as well. It looks like a typical local barbecue restaurant inside with paper towels, and sauces on the table. The service was quick. When I come to SA again, I would love to come to this place for some mouthwatering barbecue!

This place is sooo good! The service is quick and friendly as well. We've been here a few times, so I'm not sure why I haven't left a review before... probably too busy enjoying all this goodness! The sweet potato casserole is jalepeño cheese sausage was my fave. Hubby liked the baked potato, it was huge! 10/10

Rusty Bucket BBQ Did not disappoint. Our group ordered to go twice in two weeks. I tried ribs first, then brisket... probably got same sides tho, potato salad and green beans. Everything was really good. Meat was seasoned and cooked well, didn't need sauce but it was nice to have a little extra flavor. I would definitely make a trip to the restaurant itself when in the area. I sure do want to try some options.
